“I was impressed by the dedication of citizens to the development of their neighborhood and to the improvement of the quality of life of its residents. I have come out of this exercise with concrete ideas on how to take better care of our middle class, our families and our seniors.”
– The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Member of Parliament for Ahuntsic-Cartierville and Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie
Montreal, March 16, 2019 – Over a hundred citizens responded positively to the invitation of Mélanie Joly, Member of Parliament for Ahuntsic-Cartierville and Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie, to participate in the “Building on Your Ideas” event today at the Ahuntsic Community Centre. Eight thematic workshops, a plenary session and a wrap-up event allowed residents to share their needs, priorities and ideas, both at the local level and federal level.
Citizens and community stakeholders may continue to contribute to this process by sending their ideas to email@example.com by April 16. A report of the discussions will be sent at the beginning of May to all participants and made public in the coming weeks..
